Species Options

Maple

Clean, consistent grain with a pale creamy tone. One of the most durable and versatile North American hardwoods — exceptional resistance to surface marking and wear. Ideal for high-use commercial and kitchen applications. Takes both light natural finishes and deeper stained tones beautifully.

Ambrosia Maple

Maple with distinctive natural figuring created by the ambrosia beetle during the tree's growth — streaks of grey, brown, and cream running through the pale maple background. Every Ambrosia Maple top is completely unique. The organic, characterful appearance is highly sought after in contemporary commercial and kitchen design.

White Oak

Currently the most sought-after species in contemporary interior and commercial design. Tight, consistent grain with a subtle ray fleck character and a cool, sophisticated tone. Exceptionally durable and naturally more moisture-resistant than other oak species. Works beautifully in both light natural and deeper stained finishes.

Black Walnut

Rich, dark, and deeply characterful. The premium statement choice for boardrooms, VIP hospitality spaces, and high-end kitchen islands. Deep chocolate tones, varied grain patterns, and natural lustre create a top that becomes the focal point of any installation.

Construction

Plain Sawn

Traditional face grain construction showcasing the natural grain patterns and figure of the wood species. Plain sawn tops have the classic solid wood appearance — the cathedral grain of maple, the ray fleck of white oak, the rich swirling figure of walnut. The most commonly specified construction for restaurant, hospitality, office, and kitchen applications. Available in all four species.

Butcher Block (Edge Grain)

Edge grain construction with the grain running vertically on the surface. Exceptionally hard-wearing — more resistant to surface scratching and marking than face grain construction. The distinctive linear grain pattern has a clean, contemporary aesthetic that works beautifully in modern commercial and kitchen environments. Particularly well suited to working surfaces in high-use applications. Available in all four species.

Thickness

• 1" thick — our standard commercial thickness. Clean, refined profile suited to most metal table base applications. Ideal for dining, café, conference, collaborative, and workspace tables.

• 1.75" thick — our heavy commercial thickness. Substantial visual weight that communicates quality and permanence. Ideal for community tables, lounge applications, kitchen islands, and hospitality installations where the top is a design statement as much as a functional surface.

Edge Profiles

• Square eased edge — clean, contemporary, most commonly specified

Finishing Options

Rubio Monocoat Oil

A premium natural oil finish that penetrates and bonds with the wood fibres — enhancing the natural character of the wood while providing a surface that is easy to maintain and simple to spot-repair. Available in a wide range of colour tones from natural through to deep stained options. Greenguard certified — suitable for projects with indoor air quality requirements. Recommended for kitchen island and hospitality applications.

PU Acrylic

A commercial-grade polyurethane acrylic topcoat providing a durable, protective film finish. Available in matte, satin, and semi-gloss sheens. Greenguard certified — suitable for LEED and other green building certification requirements. Ideal for high-use commercial environments.

Sanded / Unfinished

Precision sanded to your specified grit, ready for your own finishing process. Ideal for manufacturers who prefer to apply their own finish system, or for on-site finishing after installation.
